Some weddings are simply too full of colour, energy and celebration to fit into one day.
We recently provided a Grittleton House Photo Booth for an incredible two-day Asian wedding in Wiltshire. It was a huge summer celebration filled with beautifully colourful outfits, lots of guests, three different backdrops and more laughter than we could possibly count.
With celebrations taking place across two days and in different outdoor locations around the venue, this was exactly the kind of event our open-air photo booths were made for.

A Two-Day Wedding Celebration at Grittleton House
Grittleton House is a beautiful country house wedding venue in Wiltshire, surrounded by gardens and open spaces.
For this wedding, the couple planned two full days of celebrations, with different groups of guests, changing locations and several different looks throughout the event.
Large Asian weddings are always full of life. There are different generations coming together, incredible outfits, music, food and plenty of guests who are ready to celebrate properly.
The photo booth gave everyone a relaxed place to gather, take photographs and create their own memories throughout both days.
Because it was a summer wedding, the booth was set up outdoors, allowing it to become part of the wider celebration rather than being hidden away in a separate room.
Our open-air booths work particularly well for large weddings because guests can see the fun happening and naturally join in.

An Outdoor Photo Booth for a Summer Wedding
An outdoor photo booth can look incredible at a summer wedding, especially at a venue with beautiful grounds like Grittleton House.
The booth was positioned in different locations during the two-day event, helping it fit naturally around the changing schedule.
An outdoor setup gave the guests plenty of room to gather and worked brilliantly for larger group photographs. It also allowed the colourful outfits and backdrops to stand out against the natural surroundings.
However, outdoor photo booths do require careful planning.
The booth needs a flat surface, access to power and protection from rain, direct sunlight and strong wind. British summer weather can change quickly, so we always recommend having a covered backup location available.
Backdrops can also behave like sails in windy conditions, which means their placement needs to be carefully considered.
When planning an outdoor booth, we work with the couple and venue to find the safest and most suitable location.

Three Different Photo Booth Backdrops
One of our favourite parts of this Grittleton House wedding was using three different backdrops throughout the celebrations.
Each backdrop created a completely different atmosphere and gave the couple a varied collection of photographs from both days.
Some backdrops worked beautifully with the bright outfits and detailed fabrics, while others created a cleaner and more elegant look for family photographs.
Changing the backdrop is a great option for:
- Multi-day weddings
- Weddings with several ceremonies or celebrations
- Events taking place in different locations
- Couples who want several different visual styles
- Large guest lists where people may use the booth more than once
You can see more of our standard and statement options on our photo booth backdrops page.
We can also create fully custom backdrops or installations for weddings, corporate events and branded celebrations.

Colourful Outfits and Plenty of Personality
Asian weddings are always a visual dream for a photo booth.
The rich colours, embroidery, fabrics, jewellery and attention to detail make every photograph look special. Against the three different backdrops, the guests’ outfits looked absolutely incredible. However, the best part was the energy in front of the camera.
There were large family groups, groups of friends, children, couples and plenty of guests trying to fit as many people into one photograph as possible.
Guests returned several times throughout the two days, often in different outfits and with completely different groups of people.
The result was a gallery filled with natural smiles, chaotic group photographs and moments that the couple may not have seen during the wedding itself.

Why an Open-Air Booth Works for Large Weddings
Unlike an enclosed photo booth, an open-air booth allows more people to fit comfortably into each photograph.
This makes it an excellent choice for large Asian weddings, where group photographs are a big part of the celebration.
Guests can see the booth in use, gather around it and join in without having to squeeze inside a small box.
Both of our main booths use professional cameras and studio lighting, helping to create flattering, high-quality photographs throughout the event.
Our attended photo booth experiences can include:
- Professional DSLR photography
- Studio lighting
- Instant prints
- Custom-designed print templates
- A choice of backdrops
- Props
- A friendly photo booth attendant
- A private online gallery after the wedding
- A personalised guest book, depending on the package

The Retro or Icon Photo Booth at Grittleton House
Both our Retro and Icon photo booths are open-air wooden booths with professional cameras, studio lighting, instant prints and a friendly attendant.
However, each booth is designed for a slightly different type of wedding or event.
You can compare both options on our photo booth page.
The Retro Photo Booth
The Retro is perfect for couples who want a simple, elegant and timeless photo booth experience.
Its warm wooden design suits country houses, barns and traditional wedding venues beautifully. It fits naturally into a venue like Grittleton House without looking overly modern or distracting from the wedding styling.
The Retro produces beautiful studio-quality photographs, with the print style chosen before the event.
Couples can select:
- Colour or black-and-white photographs
- Traditional photo strips or large 6×4 prints
- A custom print design
- A backdrop to complement the wedding colours
The Retro is particularly suited to:
- Elegant weddings
- Barn and country-house venues
- Couples who want a classic photo booth experience
- Black-and-white studio-style portraits
- Events where the print format is selected in advance
- Weddings where the booth needs to blend into the venue styling
It is straightforward, stylish and always incredibly popular with wedding guests.
The Icon Photo Booth
The Icon is our more interactive and customisable photo booth.
It gives guests greater flexibility during the event, allowing them to choose between colour and black-and-white photographs and between photo strips and larger prints.
The Icon also has a screen on the back, which can be used to display custom videos, graphics, animations or branded content. This makes it particularly suitable for larger events where the booth is intended to become a feature of the celebration.
The Icon is ideal for:
- Large weddings
- Multi-day Asian weddings
- Corporate events
- Festivals
- Brand activations
- Bespoke themed events
- Events where guests want more choice
- Couples who want a more interactive photo booth experience
- Custom graphics, video and personalised content
For a large two-day event like this Grittleton House wedding, the Icon offers plenty of flexibility as the guest list, outfits and atmosphere change throughout the celebrations. The Retro, however, is equally beautiful for couples who prefer a more timeless and traditional experience. The best choice depends on your wedding style, guest numbers and how customised you would like the booth to be.
Instant Prints for Guests to Take Home
Digital galleries are lovely, but there is still something special about receiving a physical photograph seconds after it has been taken.
Guests can take their prints home as a wedding keepsake, while additional copies can be added to a guest book for the couple.
A photo booth guest book is often one of the funniest and most honest records of a wedding.
As the evening continues, the messages usually become more entertaining, the poses become more creative and the photographs become increasingly chaotic.
By the end of the celebration, the couple has a book filled with photographs and messages from the people they love most.
A Photo Booth Experience Designed Around the Wedding
Every wedding is different, and this two-day celebration at Grittleton House was a perfect example of why a photo booth should not be treated as a one-size-fits-all service.
The location changed, the backdrops changed and the guests returned throughout the celebrations with different outfits and different groups of friends and family.
The booth experience was designed to work around the event rather than interrupt it.
For a multi-day wedding, we can discuss:
- Different booth locations
- Multiple backdrops
- Separate print designs
- Longer hire times
- Different opening times
- Custom guest books
- Bespoke graphics
- Rear-screen videos for the Icon booth
- Additional attendants for very large events
Planning these details in advance helps the booth run smoothly and ensures it fits naturally into the wedding schedule.
